Swiss stocks - Factors to watch on Aug 25

ZURICH, Aug 25 (Reuters) - Swiss shares were set to open slightly stronger on Monday, helped by gains in Asia and the U.S. market on Friday, although trading was seen quiet due to a public holiday in Britain.

The Swiss blue-chip index SMI .SSMI was indicated to open up 14 points at 7,107 points, data provided by bank Clariden Leu showed. CLPRE

The following are some of the main factors expected to affect Swiss stocks on Friday:

UBS (UBSN.VX)

UBS plans to cut first half bonus payments to its employees by 4 billion Swiss francs ($3.67 billion), Swiss newspaper Sonntag CH reports on Sunday without disclosing its sources.
