BRATISLAVA, April 30 (Reuters) - Taiwan's AU Optronics Corp (2409.TW) is close to reaching an agreement with Slovakia on building a factory for LCD panels in the European Union country, a Slovak source close to the deal told Reuters on Thursday.

The source said the world's third-biggest maker of LCD panels planned to invest 200 million euros ($265 million) in the project.

"The project is agreed. Final details are being negotiated now," the source said, adding the talks had to determine the size and the form of state incentives. (Reporting by Martin Santa) ($1 = 0.7547 euro)
