 Note: Manila Electric Co (Meralco) (MER.PS) is the
Philippines' largest power retailer. The company said its
energy sales fell 1.4 percent in the first quarter from a year
earlier.
 Food and beverage giant San Miguel Corp (SMC.PS) owns 43
percent of Meralco, nearly the same as the stake held by a
group of companies allied to the Philippine Long Distance
Telephone Co (TEL.PS) and power conglomerate First Philippine
Holdings Corp (FPH.PS).
