MILAN, Aug 8 (Reuters) - Telecom Italia (TLIT.MI) said its Telecom Italia Finance SA unit had placed on July 31 five-year Schuldschein notes worth a nominal 250 million euros at an issue price of 99.23.

The notes have an annual 6.25 percent coupon and are guaranteed by Telecom Italia SpA, the phone group said in a statement on Friday.

Regulated by German law, Schuldschein debt issues consist of an underlying loan between a lender and a corporate borrower. They are similar to syndicated loans.
