MILAN, Nov 5 (Reuters) - Italy's largest insurance company Assicurazioni Generali SpA (GASI.MI) said in a statement on Thursday.

Financials

* Third-quarter net profit 390 million euros ($579.2 million) vs Reuters analysts poll average of 445 million euros;

* Third-quarter premiums 15.7 billion euros, up 8.9 percent from year earlier

* Nine-month non-life combined ratio 97.9 pct vs poll average of 98.3 percent * says sees higher full-yr 2009 net profit vs 2008
