MUMBAI (Reuters) - The United States is fully committed to an outcome to the Doha round of global trade talks by the end of the year, a senior U.S. Treasury Department official said on Wednesday.

"We are at a critical juncture in the Doha round," David McCormick, Treasury Under Secretary for international finance, said in a speech prepared for a conference in the southern Indian city of Chennai.

"This spring, we need to see progress on services and agreement on modalities for agriculture and non-agriculture market access if an agreement is to be completed by year's end," he said in the text of the speech made available to Reuters.
