Yahoo-Google ad deal could happen next week -source

SAN FRANCISCO, May 1 (Reuters) - A search advertising deal between Yahoo Inc (YHOO.O) and Google Inc (GOOG.O) could come as early as next week, a person familiar with the matter said on Thursday.

But any such deal, in which Yahoo carries Google ads alongside its search results, would not preclude a deal with Microsoft Corp (MSFT.O), the person said.

Microsoft's $31-a-share cash-and-stock offer for Yahoo was initially valued at $44.6 billion. (Reporting by Anupreeta Das; Editing by Braden Reddall)
