Canada's NDP says has stimulus deal with Liberals

OTTAWA, Dec 1 (Reuters) - Canada's opposition parties have struck a deal to deliver a "serious" aid package to automakers and other industries as well as a stimulus plan, the left-leaning New Democrats said on Monday.

The three opposition parties have reached a tentative agreement to defeat the minority Conservative government and form a coalition government, television networks said.

"A very constructive, positive agreement has been reached between the Liberal Party of Canada and the New Democratic Party that will bring stimulus to the economy, which is badly needed," said Ed Broadbent, former NDP leader and party statesman.
