"This agreement will allow the Mexican cement industry to expand its exports and give certainty to investment," Mexico's economy ministry said in a statement.

Mexico's Cemex (CX.N) (CMXCPO.MX) is the United States' No. 3 cement exporter.

The agreement came as Mexico and the United Sates are embroiled in a trade spat after the United States stopped a pilot program giving Mexican trucks access to U.S. highways. (Reporting by Noel Randewich)
