Mexico says its resolved cement spat with US
MEXICO CITY, April 1 (Reuters) - Mexico said on Wednesday it resolved a 15-year-old trade dispute with the United States, giving Mexican cement exporters free access to the U.S. market.
"This agreement will allow the Mexican cement industry to expand its exports and give certainty to investment," Mexico's economy ministry said in a statement.
Mexico's Cemex (CX.N) (CMXCPO.MX) is the United States' No. 3 cement exporter.
The agreement came as Mexico and the United Sates are embroiled in a trade spat after the United States stopped a pilot program giving Mexican trucks access to U.S. highways. (Reporting by Noel Randewich)
