Venezuela sees oil capacity at 4.25 mln bpd 2015

PORLAMAR, Venezuela, Nov 3 (Reuters) - Venezuelan Energy Minister Rafel Ramirez said on Tuesday the South American OPEC member's oil capacity should reach 4.25 million barrels per day by 2015 from current production of 3.0 million bpd.

Ramirez, opening an oil conference on the island of Margarita, added that capacity was due to rise to 6.862 million bpd by 2021, largely because of development of the Orinoco belt. (Writing by Andrew Cawthorne; Editing by John Picinich)
