HOUSTON, Nov 3 (Reuters) - Alon USA Energy Inc (ALJ.N) said on Tuesday that an ongoing SCOT unit malfunction at its 70,000-barrel-per-day (bpd) Big Spring, Texas, refinery had no impact on production, according to a statement from Chief Operating Officer Joseph Israel.

Alon notified the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality on Monday and Tuesday of the ongoing malfunction in the SCOT unit.

Alon said operational adjustments were made on both days, according to the notices.
