LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Matthew Modine and Carrie Fisher are joining Showtime's suburban pot comedy "Weeds."

Additionally, Zooey Deschanel, who played Andy Botwin's (Justin Kirk) quirky ex-girlfriend Kat in several episodes last season, is coming back for the third-season opener.

Modine is set to appear in 10 episodes, playing a real estate developer who has romantic dalliances with both Celia (Elizabeth Perkins) and Nancy (Mary-Louise Parker). Nancy goes on to work for him as his personal assistant. Carrie Fisher will guest-star as Celia's divorce lawyer.
