U.S. confirms North Korean launch, has no details

WASHINGTON, April 4 (Reuters) - North Korea launched a rocket at 0230 GMT on Sunday, a U.S. State Department spokesman said, saying he had no further details.

"We have had a launch. I don't know the type of missile," U.S. State Department spokesman Fred Lash told reporters on a conference call.
