"America's Got Talent" wins weekly ratings

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - NBC's "America's Got Talent" logged a second consecutive week as the most-watched television show in the United States, while CBS remained the top network.

According to Nielsen Media Research, the talent show averaged 13.9 million viewers last Tuesday, up 610,000 viewers from the week before. This summer's "Talent" episodes mark the seven top primetime telecasts since the May season finale of "Lost."

ABC's obstacle-course competition series "Wipeout" held at No. 2 last week with 9.7 million viewers -- down 286,000. And a rerun of CBS' "Two and a Half Men" was steady at No. 3 with 9.3 million viewers, down 417,000.

CBS, with six reruns in the top 10, won the week ended August 3 with an average of 6.3 million viewers. NBC pulled in 5.7 million, followed by Fox with 5.1 million and ABC with 4.4 million.

Fox retained its lead among the coveted adults 18-49 demographic for the 29th time in the last 30 weeks, helped by "So You Think You Can Dance," which won its respective Wednesday and Thursday nights.
