NEW YORK, July 6 (Reuters) - The euro erased earlier losses against the dollar on Monday as the Dow industrials turned positive and investors took profits on its earlier slide.

Currencies

The euro was last trading at $1.3962 EUR=, unchanged from late Friday and above a global session low of $1.3878.

The euro was still lower against the yen and the dollar held gains against sterling GBP=D4 and high-yield currencies such as the Australian dollar AUD=D4 as investor risk appetite remained weak amid concern about the world economy.
