Disney says second-half 2008 room reservations up

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - The Walt Disney Co said on Tuesday its domestic hotel bookings were slightly ahead for the second half of the year, compared with the year-ago period.

"Room reservations in domestic are slightly ahead of the prior year with strength in fourth quarter more than offsetting a decrease in third quarter," Tom Staggs, Disney's chief financial officer, said on a conference call. (Reporting by Gina Keating; editing by Carol Bishopric)
