HOUSTON, June 6 (Reuters) - Valero Energy Corp (VLO.N) said a Friday exchanger leak on a gasoline unit was not expected to affect production at its 135,000 barrel per day (bpd) Los Angeles-market refinery in Wilmington, California.

"This was related to an exchanger leak on the FCC," said Valero spokesman Bill Day in a statement. "We don't expect an impact on production."

The exchanger leak on the gasoline-producing fluidic catalytic cracking unit triggered flaring at the Wilmington refinery on Friday. (Reporting by Erwin Seba; editing by Carol Bishopric)
