LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Elizabeth Keener (Showtime's "The L Word") will star as a lesbian FBI agent in an hourlong drama series being developed at gay network here!

Television

The project is described as a cross between "The Silence of the Lambs" and "Twin Peaks."

Keener's character juggles personal demons with the demands of her extended undercover assignment in a mysterious small town, and soon finds herself increasingly enmeshed in the lives of the town's inhabitants.

Keener, the younger sister of Catherine Keener, will have a hand in developing the show. The actress played villainous SheBar co-owner Dawn Denbo in a half-dozen episodes of "L Word's" fifth season. The lesbian drama was recently renewed for a sixth and final season.
