Nov 6 (Reuters) - Suncor Energy Inc (SU.TO) Chief Executive Rick George on third-quarter conference call:

Stocks  |  Mergers & Acquisitions  |  Global Markets  |  Energy

* Says "very confident" will beat target for C$1.3 bln in cost savings

* Says asset sales will cut output by about 10 pct

* Will sell C$2 bln-C$4 bln of non-core assets in 2010

* No plan to sell 12 percent stake in Syncrude

* Aims to sell about 30 percent of natural gas assets (Reporting by Jeffrey Jones)
