Cascal BV files for IPO of 16.7 mln shares, $17-$19

WASHINGTON, Jan 7 (Reuters) - Cascal BV, a British-based provider of water and wastewater services, filed with U.S. regulators on Monday for an initial public offering of 16.7 million shares for an estimated price of $17 to $19 each.

Cascal said in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that it would offer 7.7 million shares, and a sell stockholder would offer an additional 9 million shares.

JPMorgan, Credit Suisse, Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, and HSBC are underwriting the IPO. The company plans to list its stock on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "HOO." (Reporting by Karey Wutkowski)
