LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - The mysterious Kyle and his missing belly button will be back for a third season on ABC Family.

The cable network has ordered 10 episodes of "Kyle XY." A start date has not yet been determined because the series is now in production on the final 10 episodes of Season 2.

Matt Dallas stars as the title character, who one day walked out of the woods totally innocent of the complexities of human behavior. Kyle has come to accept that he has special capabilities and is determined to understand and use them wisely.

So far this year, the second season of "Kyle XY" has improved over year-ago time-period levels by 8% in adults 18-34 (333,000 vs. 308,000) and by 2% in women 18-34 (209,000 vs. 205,000). It's also basic cable's No. 2 program in the time period in female teens (220,000).
