Wal-Mart Mexico posts 16 pct rise in net profit

MEXICO CITY, July 8 (Reuters) - Walmex, Mexico's biggest retailer, posted a 16 percent rise in second-quarter profit on Wednesday as aggressive promotions and a helpful calendar offset a deep recession.
