LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - "In the Motherhood" is moving from the Web to primetime with some new leading ladies.

Television

ABC has handed out a 13-episode order to a comedy series based on the online series that stars Chelsea Handler, Leah Remini and Jenny McCarthy as three mothers and girlfriends whose exploits are based on real-life stories of moms across the country.

Of the three, only comedian/talk show host Handler is expected to be on the ABC series, with "Will & Grace" veteran Megan Mullally and "Curb Your Enthusiasm" leading lady Cheryl Hines in talks to join her.

"Motherhood" was one of three projects in the works for midseason showcased at ABC's "upfront" presentation to advertisers in May.

Its 13-episode order comes on the heels of ABC's pickup of five new series two weeks ago: the one-hours "Castle," "The Unusuals" and "Cupid" and the comedies "Better Off Ted" and "Single With Parents."
