LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - "Gilmore Girls" veteran Matt Czuchry will make his feature debut in "I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell," an adaptation of Tucker Max's bawdy best-selling memoir.

Film

Czuchry will play Max, who rose to fame after launching TuckerMax.com in 2002, garnering millions of unique site visitors to read his short stories and a $300,000 advance for his alcohol-fueled memoir for Penguin Books.

Czuchry played Logan Huntzberger, the boyfriend of Rory (Alexis Bledel), over three seasons of "Gilmore Girls."

Also joining the cast of the film are Jesse Bradford ("Flags of Our Fathers") and Geoff Stults ("7th Heaven") as Max's best friends.

The indie film begins principal photography July 21 on location in Shreveport, La. Bob Gosse is directing from a script written by Max and Nils Parker.
