NEW YORK, Aug 10 (Reuters) - Shares of futures and options broker MF Global Ltd (MF.N) could be worth $10 in about a year, after first-quarter results showed the company was not losing clients and was impressively cutting costs, according to an article in the Aug 11 edition of Barron's.

The company's shares were hurt badly earlier this year by a rogue broker scandal, regulatory missteps and a dilutive recapitalization, the report in the weekly financial publication said.

Barron's noted that Rich Repetto of Sandler O'Neill expects the company to earn 95 cents in the current fiscal year, and calculated that the shares are at 85 percent of tangible book value.
