Obama departs Ghana for Washington

ACCRA, July 11 (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama headed home from Ghana on Saturday, ending his first visit to sub-Saharan Africa since taking office in January.

Obama left for Washington aboard his Air Force One presidential jet after a departure ceremony on the airport tarmac in Accra featuring traditional drummers and dancers and a send-off by a cheering crowd of several thousand.
