Exxon begins damage assessments at Texas refineries

NEW YORK, Sept 13 (Reuters) - Exxon Mobil (XOM.N) said on Saturday it had begun to examine its oil refineries in Baytown and Beaumont Texas for damage in the wake of Hurricane Ike.

An official for the company declined to comment on whether crews had found any evidence of flooding at the two refineries, saying assessments were ongoing.
