LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - 'Tis the season for anniversary DVDs.

Entertainment  |  Film

A 15th anniversary edition of "Groundhog Day" will cone out on January 29, followed by a 25th anniversary edition of "Tootsie" on February 5, both via Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

"Groundhog Day," digitally remastered under the supervision of director Harold Ramis, includes three featurettes, commentary from Ramis and newly discovered deleted scenes.

The "Tootsie" DVD, also with a digitally remastered version of the film, includes never-before-seen deleted scenes, as well, along with a three-part making-of documentary and star Dustin Hoffman's original screen test.

Meanwhile, Fox is preparing a second direct-to-DVD sequel to the 1998 theatrical hit "Dr. Dolittle," which starred Eddie Murphy and grossed $144.2 million in U.S. theaters.

Murphy reprised his leading role in the 2001 theatrical sequel "Dr. Dolittle 2," which made $112.9 million, but the third installment, in 2006, without Murphy on board, was released directly to video.

"Dr. Dolittle: Tail to the Chief," like its predecessor, "Dr. Dolittle 3," stars Kyla Pratt as Maya Dolittle, the good doctor's daughter who can talk to animals just like her father. It premieres March 4 on DVD.
