U.S. 2-year swap spread widens on credit worries

NEW YORK, Jan 14 (Reuters) - The yield spread on U.S. two-year interest rate swaps over Treasuries expanded on Wednesday to its widest level in a week, prompted by concerns about the creditworthiness and stability of the bank system.

Two-year swap spread, which grows with increased risk aversion, was last quoted at 60.75 basis points, compared with 52.75 basis points at Tuesday's close. (Reporting by Richard Leong; Editing by Tom Hals)
