    Plant, Krauss extend "Raising Sand" tour

    NEW YORK (Billboard) - Robert Plant and Alison Krauss have extended their smash "Raising Sand" tour through early October.

    The next round of dates begins September 23 in Kansas City, Mo., and will wrap October 5 in Saratoga, Calif.

    The Led Zeppelin frontman and bluegrass queen's acclaimed album, "Raising Sand," has sold 1.03 million copies in the United States since its release last October via Rounder, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

    The duo have been on the road since April 20, playing both North America and Europe. Three dates are left on the current leg, which wraps in Nashville on Saturday at the Sommet Center.

    Here are their additional tour dates:

    September 23: Kansas City, Mo. (Starlight Theatre)

    September 24: St. Louis (Fox Theatre)

    September 26: Houston (Mitchell Pavilion)

    September 27: Austin, Texas (Austin City Limits)

    September 30: Portland, Ore. (Theatre of the Clouds)

    October 1: Seattle (WaMu Theatre)

    October 3: San Francisco (Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival)

    October 4: Kelseyville, Calif. (Konocti Harbor)

    October 5: Saratoga, Calif. (Mountain Winery)
