UPDATE 1-Chile copper export revenues $3.548 bln in June
(Adds background, details)
SANTIAGO, July 15 (Reuters) - The value of Chile's copper exports was $3.548 billion in June compared with $2.865 billion in May, central bank figures showed on Tuesday.
In June 2007, Chile's copper exports were worth $2.998 billion.
The June figure marks a rebound from a dip in May, when supply was disrupted due to a subcontractor strike at state-owned Codelco, the world's largest copper producer, and prices came off record highs.
Total copper export revenue in the first six months of the year was $21.027 billion, up 8 percent from $19.476 registered during the same period in 2007.
Chile is the world's top copper producer and strong prices, driven by limited supplies and booming Asian demand, have helped push the nation's trade surplus to record levels.
