Conoco says to get 1 mln bbl SPR oil for Ill. plant

NEW YORK, Sept 16 (Reuters) - ConocoPhillips (COP.N) said the U.S. Department of Energy approved its request for 1 million barrels of crude oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve for its refinery in Wood River, Illinois.

The 306,000 barrel per day refinery has been having trouble getting crude supplies due to disruptions in the wake of hurricanes Gustav and Ike, the company said in a press release issued late Monday. (New York Energy Desk, +1 646-223-6050)
