China's E-House files for $175 mln ADS offering

WASHINGTON, Jan 17 (Reuters) - E-House (China) Holdings Ltd (EJ.N) filed with U.S. regulators on Thursday for an offering of $175 million of its American depositary shares.

The Chinese real estate services company said in a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission that Credit Suisse and Merrill Lynch & Co are underwriting the offering.

The company said it would use its share of net proceeds for sales and marketing efforts, capital expenditures and general corporate purposes. (Reporting by Karey Wutkowski; Editing by Braden Reddall)
