UPDATE 1-Bernanke, Paulson to brief Congress on crisis-CNBC

WASHINGTON, Sept 18 (Reuters) - U.S. Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke will meet with congressional leaders on Thursday night to discuss possible solutions to the credit crisis, CNBC reported.

The meeting is with the full congressional leadership, CNBC said, citing one unnamed source.

Fed and Treasury spokesman could not be immediately reached for comment. (Reporting by Tim Ahmann; Editing by Dan Grebler)
