WINNIPEG, Manitoba, Aug 19 (Reuters) - Potash prices have not jumped yet because of a strike at three mines owned by Potash Corp of Saskatchewan (POT.TO), the world's largest fertilizer producer, a respected fertilizer consultant said on Tuesday.

But record high potash prices could start to move higher still if the strike lasts another month, when demand from North American farmers and international markets starts to pick up, said Barrie Bain, director of Fertecon Ltd, in an e-mail.

"If the strike continues into October, we could then start to see a significant impact on prices," Bain said in the e-mail. (Reporting by Roberta Rampton; Editing by Peter Galloway)
