Bush says North Korea may be stalling on nuclear program

CAMP DAVID, Maryland (Reuters) - President George W. Bush on Saturday said that North Korea may be trying to "stall" in providing a full declaration of its nuclear programs and proliferation activities, but said he was "hopeful."

If Pyongyang finally makes the declaration, the United States is expected to ease sanctions.

South Korean President Lee Myung-bak, at a news conference with Bush after their meetings at the presidential retreat, said through a translator that it was difficult to have North Korea give up its nuclear program but "not impossible."
