Fox, Albanian cop fight crime in L.A

Thu Sep 20, 2007 4:06am EDT

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Fox is developing a cop show with a "Borat"-flavored twist.

Television

The network has ordered a script for a one-hour project called "Raffik," which centers on an Albanian detective sent to the United States. His enthusiasm for everything American inspires and baffles his new Los Angeles police partners.

It comes from British TV writer Anthony Horowitz, a detective drama expert who created ITV's "Foyle's War" and the BBC's "Midsomer Murders," and worked on ITV's "Poirot."
