U.S. taxable money mkt fund assets fall--iMoneyNet

NEW YORK, Aug 20 (Reuters) - U.S. taxable money market fund assets fell by $1.1 billion to $2.989 trillion in the week ended Tuesday, the Money Fund Report said on Wednesday.

Tax-free money market fund assets rose by $1.3 billion to a record $528.4 billion, according to the report, a service of iMoneyNet.

Taxable yields rose 3 basis points to 1.87 percent, but tax-free yields slid to 1.21 percent from 1.39 percent.
