Fox Searchlight on road to "Ruins" with Vardalos

NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - Fox Searchlight will distribute "My Life in Ruins," a romantic comedy starring Nia Vardalos ("My Big Fat Greek Wedding") in North America, Australia and New Zealand.

The Donald Petrie-directed film, which co-stars Richard Dreyfuss, Harland Williams and Rachel Dratch, centers on a travel guide (Vardalos) who rediscovers her mojo as she leads tourists around Greece.

The film is scheduled to be released in 2009.
