BOSTON, Jan 22 (Reuters) - General Electric Co (GE.N) said on Tuesday that an order for wind farms from power company Invenergy was worth $1 billion.
GE said it would be supplying Invenergy 480 electricity-producing wind turbines in 2009 for wind farms in North America and Europe.
The wind turbines in question would produce enough electricity for about 275,000 households. (Reporting by Scott Malone, editing by Dave Zimmerman)
