Time Warner spent $982 mln on purchases - filing

NEW YORK, Feb 22 (Reuters) - Time Warner Inc (TWX.N) invested about $982 million to buy digital properties and pay television networks in Latin America in 2007, according to a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing on Friday.

The company's AOL Internet division paid $346 million in cash to buy Quigo, a site and content-targeted advertising company on Dec. 19, 2007, as part of a move to transform the division into an online advertising one-stop shop.

Warner Bros's home entertainment division purchased UK-based games publisher TT Games for $133 million in cash on Dec. 6 last year. An additional $250 million could become payable subject to earnings targets after a five-year period, according to the filing.

AOL purchased Tacoda, an online advertising technology company, for $274 million in cash.

Time Warner's networks division spent $229 million to buy seven pay TV networks and the "sales representation rights for eight third-party-owned networks" from Claxson Interactive Group.

This year, AOL purchased Perifiliate Limited, also known as Buy.at, a performance-based online commerce marketing company in Feb. 8, 2008, for $125 million in cash. (Reporting by Kenneth Li, editing by Richard Chang)
