HOUSTON, Oct 23 (Reuters) - Valero Energy Corp (VLO.N) said an incident that triggered flaring on Friday in Complex 1 of its 245,000-barrel-per-day (bpd) Texas City, Texas, refinery had no impact on operations.

"The flaring today did not result from anything that impacted operations," Valero spokesman Bill Day said in a statement.

The flaring lasted for about two hours on Friday, according to a notice filed with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. (Reporting by Erwin Seba)
