NEW YORK, Dec 23 (Reuters) - Investors should consider buying shares of oil services companies such as Weatherford International Inc (WFT.N) and Schlumberger Ltd, (SLB.N) because they can benefit from expected increases in global exploration and production, Barron's said in its Dec. 24 edition.

Global exploration and production spending should rise more than 11 percent in 2008, which means a good deal of work for oil services companies. The oil services group is cheaper than the broad market but offers better growth, Barron's said. (Reporting by Dan Wilchins, editing by Maureen Bavdek)
