    'No Country' wins big at Oscars

    LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - "No Country For Old Men," the violent chase movie from the Coen brothers, won the Oscar for best picture on Sunday after earning the near universal favor of critics and Hollywood's talent guilds.

    The film, directed by Joel and Ethan Coen, won four Oscars, also taking best directing, best adapted screenplay and best supporting actor.

    Spanish performer Javier Bardem, playing a cold-blooded killer who often decides the fate of random victims with the toss of a coin, took the best supporting actor Oscar.

    "No Country For Old Men" -- adapted from the Cormac McCarthy novel of the same name -- beat out "There Will Be Blood," "Michael Clayton," "Atonement" and "Juno" for the best picture honor.
