Sonics Inc. files for $80 million IPO

WASHINGTON, Aug 24 (Reuters) - Sonics Inc filed with regulators on Friday to raise up to $80 million in an initial public offering of common stock.

The company said UBS Investment Bank, Cowen and Co., and ThinkEquity Partners LLC are underwriting the IPO.

Sonics also said in the registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that it plans to list its stock on the Nasdaq under the symbol "SNCS" (SNCS.O).
