"We have ceased pumping from Galena Park, which is our point of origin," said Amber Pappas, a spokeswoman for the pipeline.

The 694 mile (1,117-km) common carrier pipeline can carry 72,000 barrels per day of different grades of gasoline and diesel from the Gulf Coast refineries to El Paso, Texas where other carriers offload.

Pappas said that she had no information as to when they would be able to restore normal operations. (Reporting by Janet McGurty; Editing by Marguerita Choy)
