Singh, Garcia, Sutherland go to sudden death at Barclays

PARAMUS, New Jersey (Reuters) - Vijay Singh of Fiji, Spain's Sergio Garcia and American Kevin Sutherland were tied at the end of 72 holes on Sunday setting up a sudden-death playoff at the Barclays Classic.

Singh, who shot one-under 70, Garcia (70) and Sutherland (68) were starting the playoff at the 18th and alternating between 17 and 18 if more holes were needed to decide the opening tournament of the four-event FedExCup playoffs.

Singh, Garcia and Sutherland were locked at eight-under-par 276 after 72 holes at Ridgewood Country Club.
