The monster movie "Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem" bowed at No. 2 on both charts in the week ended April 20, according to sales data issued Wednesday.

"Alvin and the Chipmunks," the nation's top DVD seller for the last two weeks, slipped to No. 3 on Nielsen VideoScan's sales chart. A third new release, "In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale," debuted at No. 4.

According to Nielsen figures, "Chipmunks" is now the year's No. 3 seller, behind "I Am Legend" and "Enchanted."

On the rental side, "Juno" generated an estimated $8.4 million, according to Home Media Magazine market research. "Requiem" finished close behind with $7.7 million.

The previous week's top renter, "There Will Be Blood," slipped to No. 3. After 12 days in release, the film's rental take stands at $15.6 million, or nearly 40 percent of its box office earnings of $40.2 million.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Tighter security measures at U.S. airports following an attempt to blow up a Detroit-bound jet could dampen enthusiasm for air travel, hurting the airline industry just as it seemed poised to recover from a period of bruising losses, some industry experts say.
