WW Grainger sees meeting with Justice Dept
CHICAGO (Reuters) - WW Grainger Inc (GWW.N) expects to meet with U.S. Justice Department officials to discuss concerns over a government contract "within the next month or so" the building maintenance supply company's president said on Monday.
"There's a difference of opinion somewhere between how we're complying to that contract. We absolutely believe we're in full compliance with that contract," James Ryan, president and chief operating officer told the Reuters Manufacturing Summit in Chicago. "When the Justice Department is ready, we'll sit down with them and talk about where they believe the discrepancies are."
Asked when the meeting would occur, Ryan replied, "probably sometime within the next month or so."
Grainger disclosed early this month that the Justice Department had informed it of concerns that it had potentially overcharged government customers.
