WASHINGTON, Sept 25 (Reuters) - Congressional negotiations over a $700 billion financial industry bailout will continue on Friday, but with no sign that balking House Republicans will participate, U.S. Democratic Rep. Barney Frank told reporters on Thursday.

Speaking to reporters after a lengthy meeting with Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and other lawmakers, Frank, the chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, also said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi would not bring a "partisan" bill to the House floor, meaning at least some House Republicans would have to sign on to whatever deal ultimately is reached.

"For House Republicans to take a walk is just appalling," Frank told reporters, adding he hoped President George W. Bush and Republican presidential candidate John McCain could convince them to participate. (Reporting by Richard Cowan and Thomas Ferraro; Editing by Peter Cooney)
